A few weeks ago I ordered a lamp shade off eBay to match the Pottery Barn Savannah set I have for baby girl's nursery.
I needed a white lamp to go with the shade, but I didn't have one. We weren't able to find a cute, cheap white lamp at Wal-Mart or Target either. Mom had seen the shade and within a couple of weeks she found a lamp for $1 at the flea market she couldn't turn up.
It's not white, but that's nothing a little spray paint can't fix! I'm always shocked at how much spray paint can change something. For the longest time I didn't spray paint anything, and ignored most of the Pinterest pins that involved spray painting. I think it goes back to a school project when I was younger where I tried to use spray paint and things turned out horribly.
BUT my confidence had been renewed with my Ikea magazine rack project for the nursery, so I grabbed a can of white spray paint and went to work on the lamp. I could tell just by the pattern in the lamp that it was going to be PERFECT for the shade once it was white.
What do you think?!
Beautiful makeover! I love the floral shade you added.
ReplyDeleteThanks Brandi! I keep telling myself the little touches of blue in the nursery keep it from being overwhelmingly pink.
