0 Weekend Ahead: Weekend Ahead: Yard Sales & SLEEP & then a little more sleep!

Wow, what a week it's been!  To give you a bit of an idea of how I was feeling this week, by Tuesday I was already at a Thursday energy level. Most weeks, I become a little bit more exhausted everyday until I have time
to recharge during the weekend.  By Tuesday, I already felt like I'd been through an entire week.  Ack.

But besides a lack of energy, this has been a great week.  At the beginning of the week, our kitchen pantry was featured on Apartment Therapy.  This led to a large influx of first-time visitors to the blog.  The computer
dork in me got a great deal of excitement out of refreshing my blog stats to see the number of pageviews growing rapidly!

I completed the last (I think?) project for baby girl's nursery, but I haven't been home during daylight hours any day this week to actually get a photo of it until today.  Here's a sneak peak!

Wednesday I finally used a gift certificate I received for Christmas for a prenatal massage.  I had been holding on to it until I got to a point where I felt like I really needed it, and boy that was definitely this week!  It was amazing and relaxing, exactly what I needed to get through the secondhalf of the week.

Thursday was a large consignment/yard sale at our local Y.M.C.A. - "KinderMarket".  There were tons of great deals on all sort of baby/kid items.  We were pretty much able to round out our list of items we still
needed.  We got a Chicco stroller for $60, a bouncer for $15, and a play mat for $10.  These three items alone combine for $300 new.  I also picked up more pretty little outfits in basically new condition that averaged about $1.25 each!  Luckily, my BFF volunteered to help with the sale and had a guest pass that allowed me to get in early.  I was able to start shopping at 4:30.  It opened to expectant moms at 5:00 and the general public at 6:00.  I got there at 4:30, and it was around 5:55 when I was done.  They had a police officer at the door for when they opened to the general public, and the line stretched from the back of the Y all the way to the front desk.  I was so glad that I checked out and got out of there before they opened to the general public, but I have to share that it felt awkward walking by all those women with my huge bag full of finds.  I felt like I was getting the evil eye from all of them (of course, in my head I was saying "na na na na na I got all the good stuff").

Tomorrow I think everything is 50% off at the Kindermarket sale, so I may go back and see what is still available.  There were a lot of items I put back because I thought they were overpriced.
