1 Weekend in Review: Sweet Little Girls

My mom and I threw my sister-in-law a baby shower at my mom's house this past weekend.  Her due date is only 4 weeks different from mine, and she is also having a little girl.  I have a feeling these two little girl cousins are going to be great friends growing up together!  They already have lots of matching outfits, so I'm excited for lots of cute pictures of them together.

Over the past couple of months, Mom and I have had fun Pinteresting and looking up baby shower ideas.    Mom spent a lot of time this week decorating.  I went over one night after work and helped her put a lot of decorations up, so that we wouldn't have to be rushed this morning getting things ready beforehand.

Some of the things we created for the baby shower include cupcakes made from receiving blankets and frilly socks; a bassinet made from onesies, receiving blankets, diapers, and a hat; a receiving blanket bouquet, a baby shoe tree with tutus as a base.

The night before the shower I created the name tent cards for all of the food on the table.  They added a cute touch to the table, and I've uploaded a copy so you can download a free printable version of it here!

I think everything turned out cute - take a look and see what you think!

Admittedly we didn't make the cake.  It came from Publix.  We gave them a photo of an pink ombre cake from Pinterest and they did a great job recreating it.

This was all my mom's idea - a baby shoe tree, complete with little tutu's for the base.  Notice there are two tutu's, so both my future niece and my baby girl will have one.  I can't wait to see photos of them together in these!

I created cupcakes from a receiving blanket and frilly socks.  The little box it is in was a $1 section find from Target after Valentine's day.

My mom made this adorable bassinet out of a hat, onesies, blankets, and diapers.  I think it's adorable!
